This massive morion drusen is a museum display of the magnificence of Mongolian pegmatites. Hexagonal opaque crystals grow from a quartz base in a rich brown to dark color. At first glance, the double-ended crystal, the so-called float crystallizing in the middle of one of the largest crystals on the drusen, attracts attention. Some crystals are overgrown with a younger generation of smaller morions. Morion is a variety of crystal and belongs to the group of silicon oxides.
