Gypsum as a desert rose

Gypsum like a desert rose in a soft brown to caramel color. Rose drusen is a large twinned plate-like crystal divided into two parts, upper and lower. This type of gypsum is formed in deserts under the influence of high temperatures in an arid climate. Thanks to the high surface temperature and extremely low rainfall, the salt-concentrated ground water rises to form desert roses. An interesting fact is that the coloring of these plasters can be caused by the admixture of sand.
