Museum large polished butt with various genera of plate and rough corals crossed by a white calcite vein. In the upper left corner is a spherical plate coral. To the right is a unique cross-section of a branching rough calcite-filled coral and below it a bushy plate coral of Thamnopora. The other side is raw and the fossils are naturally etched on it. Tabular and rugose corals are animals that inhabited calm, shallow, warm, well-oxygenated and sunlit seas in the Middle Devonian, about 384 million years before present. Lazanecki limestone.
